It’s like jazz. It’s not about copying. It’s about interpreting things. In this case, you are not making a shoe that doesn’t exist. You’re using what you are exposed to in order to create something fresh that draws a pure line. At the end of the day it’s just a shoe, but can there be a deeper connection?
